Frequently asked questions
Is ScoutMesh another sourcing app, like Juicebox or Metaview?
No. Those are finished apps you log into and work inside. ScoutMesh is a connector: it plugs 16 recruitment databases and tools into the AI chat you already use, so you build your own agent around your own brief, outreach and ATS instead of buying someone else's product.
Where does ScoutMesh actually run?
Inside your own Claude or ChatGPT. You paste one connection URL, and the sources appear as tools your AI can use in normal conversation. There is no separate app to learn.
What does it cost?
The account is free and comes with $5 in credits. After that you pay each provider's own published unit price. No subscription, no markup, no seats.
Which sources are connected?
Sixteen today: people sources (People Data Labs, Lusha, prog.ai, GitHub, Hugging Face, Findymail, Hunter, ContactOut, EnrichLayer), market sources (Glassdoor for salary benchmarks and employer reputation, TheirStack and Akta for hiring and company signals, Parallel and Exa for discovery and research) and Bouncer for verification. The full grid and price sheet are on this page. One search fans out across them and returns a single deduped list.
Can it spend money without asking?
Not past a few dollars. Cents-level work — a salary benchmark, a reputation brief, a single email — runs without interrupting you; when a request would pass about $5, the gateway itself stops and asks your AI to show you the plan and its total before spending. You can also give a standing budget ("you have $20 for this, don't ask") or hold paid sources entirely. ScoutMesh charges only when a paid tool actually executes, at the provider's price.
Can it do market research, not just find people?
Yes — and it offers to. Before a search it can benchmark the vacancy's budget against the market by title, location and experience (Glassdoor, about half a cent per estimate), compare alternative locations, brief you on an employer's ratings, reviews and interview experiences so you know what candidates will ask, map who else is hiring the profile and what they pay, and size the talent pool. Findings come with sources, dates and sample sizes.
Does it work for client prospecting too?
Yes. The same gateway finds companies with live hiring signals and the decision-makers who run the team, so one connection covers sourcing candidates and winning clients.
Do I need my own accounts with each provider?
No. One ScoutMesh key covers all connected sources. Connect once and your AI can use any of them, on one balance.
